Although I'm not wholly convinced that we oughtn't be using the word "pirates" in this case, primarily because of the specific tactics being employed, I nonetheless find this analysis marvelously thought-provoking.
It's unfortunate that more theoretical work hasn't been done on the idea of seasteading. As of present, the only analysis I'm aware of is Rothbard's concept of aquaculture as the means by which one could come to legitimately own a "plot" of water.
