C4SS @ ISU Founding Fiesta 2011 Conference

The Center was well represented at the Individual Soveriegn University “Founding Fiesta” conference in the Kansas City area this past weekend.

The Individual Sovereign University web site describes ISU as “a new school based on and dedicated to the concepts of agorism“. Currently, the school is entirely web-based.

Advisory Panel member Gary Chartier and Director Brad Spangler each gave presentations, with Chartier speaking via Skype on “Enforcing Law Without Being a State” and Spangler addressing the audience live on “Positive Law and Progressive Values in a Stateless Society”. Additionally, all conference participants received C4SS brochures in their conference packets.

On Saturday night, the ISU and C4SS co-sponsored “Order Without Leaders” (or O.W.L.) awards were awarded. Julian Assange and Bradley Manning were co-recipients of the O.W.L. award for “Courage In Ending War”, with Brad Spangler accepting on their behalf. Also notable was the award for “Courage in Ending Dictatorships” awarded to the People of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.
